Ester Community Association P.O. Box 14 Ester, Alaska 99725 The History of the E.C.A. Community associations across America are beginning to come back to positions of influence as the failure of big government continues to make headlines. Small groups of neighbors agreeing to disagree, finding amenable solutions to knotty problems, and directing their own destiny. This is the very basis of American Democracy. The Ester Community Association was founded in 1941. It incorporated in 1986 as a nonprofit. Its flag, with the motto "Mino Ergo Bibo" (I mine, therefore I drink) has been to both the South Pole and the North Pole, and the photos to prove it are posted at the local watering hole. (You can get T-shirts with the ECA logo on them at In the Heart of Ester or at an ECA meeting.) We need to keep our Community Association strong for the years ahead. Ester is growing by leaps and bounds. Lets see that she grows to be our pride and joy. You can make the difference. Janet Thompson, ECA President 1990-1991 |
