sunporch unheated atrium attached to front of carpenter's personal residence, using found lumber (cedar, mahogany, redwood, oak, fir) and glass. The beveled-glass entry door and a beveled window were also recycled. The sunporch is next to a greenhouse (the door looking into it is visible in the picture at right), also constructed using recycled wood, windows, and glass panes. The atrium has screening at either end and above the entry, which can be closed off, below, to help the porch function as a greenhouse and to extend the warm season. Vents in the ceiling prevent overheating. back to portfolio | ![]() | |||
