Where To Find the Paper:

Our new office opened this summer on the village square. Our winter digs are located in Ester on Wellhouse Road, just past Hartung Hall. Our hours are 3 to 6, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. All remaining back issues are available for sale, along with Ester Republic Press and McRoy & Blackburn books.

The Ester Republic is on file at several libraries: the Rasmuson Library, on the UAF campus; the Noel Wien Library in Fairbanks; the Lake Minchumina library; the Alaska State Library in Juneau; and, of course, the John Trigg Ester Library.

The paper is available for purchase at locations in Ester, Goldstream, and Fairbanks: the Annex art gallery and the Chevron station on the Parks Highway in Berry (near Ester), College Coffeehouse, Gold Hill Liquor and Gas, the Golden Eagle Saloon, Goldstream General Store, Gulliver’s Books, Judie Gumm Designs, LuLu's Bagels & Bakery, the Pomegranate, Raven Veterinary Services, the UAF Bookstore, the Well Street Co. art gallery, and the Wood Center Information Desk on the UAF campus.

During the summer months, sales go up due to the influx of tourists, and so do the outlets. The Ester Gold Camp sells the paper along with back issues relating to the history of Ester and the Malemute Saloon. In the Heart of Ester is also at the Gold Camp, selling art and Republic Press publications as well as other locally made items.

If you know of a shop in North Pole or Badger Road area that would be a good outlet for the paper, let the publisher know!

The last 24 back issues (two years' worth) are available for sale at the newsstand in the Parks Highway Chevron station in Berry. Other outlets which have recent back issues include the Annex, the College Coffeehouse, Well Street Art Company, and the Ester Gold Camp. To get issues prior to these editions, check In the Heart of Ester, please contact the publisher, or leave a note at the Ester library. Volume 1, numbers 1-4, Volume 3, number 8, Volume 7, number 9, and Volume 8, numbers 6 and 7 are sold out.
Other issues are endangered, so get 'em while you still can!
