About the author: Layla Lawlor was born in a log cabin in rural Alaska and grew up thirty miles from towns, roads, electricity, and cars. She has been drawing since the age of five and is the author of several graphic novels and comics. She publishes a weekly strip, "Freebird," in the Fbx Square, and plans to publish a Freebird collection and two more graphic novels within the next two years.
