Response to Philip Traum, on Single-Payer Health Care by Neil Davis Clearly, Mr. Traum does not agree with my contention that a single-payer system is the best way to reform this country's overly expensive and highly dysfunctional health care system. One thing to consider is that no matter the system, health care does not come for free and the only payer really is the general public. It is just a question of how that payment is routed.
