1) www.grab.com

This site is basically a multilevel conglomeration of differing types of internet gameshows and contests. Many of these have substantial monetary or material rewards for winning or placing. The site is known for its bold and sometimes downright grandiose contests and prizes. The most noteable example was the "billion-dollar giveaway" that ended in December of 2000. The site offers ever-changing lists of contests and games for one to peruse. Good luck—hope you win a new boat, car, or a trip to go dog sledding in Alaska. What an adventure, eh?

2) www.questionabledoctors.org

This site is a major link to PublicCitizen.org whose research group has been striving to provide consumers with the most educated choices regarding their doctors and health care providers. The National Practioner Databank (a federal repository) is kept secret from patients and from almost all other physicians. Partially in response to this congressionally mandated secrecy, the Health Research Group has established their own publically available databank of doctors who have been disciplined or santioned by either the state or federal government. These national and regional compilations of questionable doctors comprise a a four-volume databank of doctors disciplined by state or federal agencies. The total work, which includes disciplinary actions taken from 1990 to December 2000, may be purchased in four regional editions. This website also provides direct links to the websites of those medical boards that have information on the internet. Other links include (healthfinder@ www.healthfinder.gov/text/docs/doc04492.htm. CD-ROMs are also available with doctors’ last names listed alphabetically or by state. Before undertaking any major medical odyssey, it might be smart to consult this databank. Stay Healthy—

3) www.lunascan.com

This is an interesting site if you enjoy studying our Moon and other areas of the cosmos. The Lunascan project is an Earth-based telescopic imaging program using live CCD imaging technology to observe, document, and record LTPs (Lunar Transient Phenomena). The Lunascan Project website directories house some of the best Lunar image links from around the globe. An informal site for those who have a strong interest in astronomy and also those just beginning their journey into the discovery of the sky...

4) www.fengshuisociety.com

Feng shui (pronounced "Fung Schway") is a 3000+ year-old Chinese practice which maintains that the arrangement of your physical surroundings—i.e., your house, furnishings, garden, desk organization, even gravesite placement can promote positive energy or chi. The Feng Shui Society was established in the U.K. in 1993. The society serves as a focus for the exchange of information and expierience both of the professional community and those who wish to expand their knowledge of and apply the principles of feng shui in their own lives. The collective practice of the art of placement can include traditional feng shui, modern interpretation, geomancy, dowsing, space clearing, and astrology. The Feng Shui Society represents these differing systems and provides discussion and debate through meetings and newsletters, as well as info on the net.
