Brian Yanity is a graduate student at the UAA School of Engineering. He hails from Portland, Oregon and came to Alaska by way of Bard College in New York State, and Columbia University in New York City. He's been living in Anchorage since August 2004. He fell in with the alternative press crowd right away, starting to write articles on energy-related issues for Insurgent 49, and soon after, for The Ester Republic. He lives in Campbell Park.
